Report card shows overall satisfaction with School District
Every year, the Anchorage School District conducts an examination of its performance and produces a "report card" on itself for the community. It's called Expect the Best and is a snapshot of student performance and community perceptions of the district.
Among the survey responses were:
Superintendent Carol Comeau is doing a good job (72 percent);
Respondents are satisfied with the schools (68 percent).
The district also received As or Bs in customer satisfaction, with a noticeable bump up in happiness with the district's administrative office customer service last year.
The full report, which covers the 2009-10 school year, can be viewed at www.asdk12.org/depts/expect_the_best/.
