Brian James Sexton of Chugiak, 34, died Dec. 25, 2010, at Alaska Regional Hospital of an abdominal hemorrhage.

Brian was born July 10, 1976, in Anchorage to Danny James and Debra Jean Bearden Sexton.

His family had this to say about him, "Brian was a kind man with a heart of gold. He loved to play guitar and loved the outdoors. He was well loved and will be missed by all. He always tried to make everyone laugh and if there was anyone who could do it, it was Brian. It was a great loss for us all and his memory will live on in out hearts and minds forever.

"Rest in peace my brother, we will see you on the other side my friend."

Brian is survived by his mother, Debra Jean Bearden; sister, Jennifer Sexton; brothers, Shawn and Casey Sexton; grandmother, Marie Bearden; uncles, Rick Bearden and Bruce Sexton; aunts Becky Sexton, Sharon Sexton and Jogenia Sexton; nephew, Corey Holsclaw; cousins, Sarah, Kristy, Pamela and David Bearden and cousins, Alvin, Brad and Claton Sexton; and best friends, Donnie, Mike Jenkins, Jesse Stone, Zack Walters, Jesse Walter and many other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny James Sexton and grandfather, Earl Leon Bearden.

Services will be held at the Birchwood Saloon in Chugiak, Jan. 8, 2011, at 4 p.m. Church service will be Jan. 15, 2011 in Eagle River. Contact family for details.
