Residents banded together to brighten Jayhawk Drive
Returning recently from an extended stay in America, we were delighted to see the Star took note of our neighborhood's annual effort to spread holiday light and cheer, as illustrated in your photo of the luminarias lining Jayhawk Drive. But we must give credit where credit is due. We were out of state for a family death. In our absence, Trista Koenig and her family spearheaded the effort, with help from Dick Prien, the Wild family and Amy Morton and family. I'm sure others contributed and we apologize in advance to anyone inadvertently missed. We all get as much joy as we give in the annual lighting. We hope to be as involved next year as we have been in the past.
