Sarah Smith Dickson Spotlight

In the Spotlight because: On Feb. 12, Sarah Smith Dickson won the title of Mrs. Alaska America 2011. The event consisted of several onstage productions, including a physical fitness segment, evening gown presentation in which the ladies were escorted by their husbands, and interviews with a panel of judges.
Dickson is the mother of 8-year-old Elizabeth and 8-month-old Kaitlyn. She is married to Matthew Dickson. She has lived in Alaska her entire life, graduated from Robert Service High School and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Dickson will travel to the Mrs. America Pageant to represent Alaska at the 35th annual Mrs. America contest starting March 31, at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulpher Springs, W.Va. She will be there for two weeks of events and rehearsal leading up to the Mrs. America Pageant, which is scheduled to be telecast over Mother's Day weekend.
Dickson will be making personal appearances throughout Alaska during her year's reign. She will be speaking for and to Alaska's married women.
