Several local students recently completed the requirements for degrees from Wayland Baptist University's Parkside Campus in Anchorage. Local students include: Robert James Remy Jr. of Chugiak, Bachelor of Applied Science in business administration; Darcie M. Shaffer of Eagle River, Bachelor of Applied Science in human services/applied sciences; Jody L. Weber of Eagle River, Bachelor of Applied Science in business; Desalyn Rae Whitlock of Eagle River, Bachelor of Science in occupational education in business administration; and Chirley Winborg of Eagle River, Associate of Applied Science in applied science. The graduation ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. April 29 at the Anchorage campus.

Bonnie Etter of Eagle River was named to the dean's list for the fall 2010 semester at The Johns Hopkins University. Etter, who is majoring in an arts and sciences premajor, is scheduled to graduate in May 2014. She is the daughter of John and Susie Etter and attended Eagle River High School.
