Historical Society appreciates community support

The Chugiak-Eagle River Historical Society held its annual spring potluck on April 29 and couldn't have done so without the support of so many community members. The Society thanks and commends the Ravenwood Elementary School choir and its director, Richard Lum, for providing a musical program. Thanks to the parents of the choir members who not only brought food for the potluck but also stayed to fold up tables and clean up the room with their children.

This was unexpected and very much appreciated.

Thanks, too, to the Sew Be It quilting group, which donated a quilt for our successful raffle. Former Eagle River resident Pat Kapella, who happened to be visiting the community, was the winner of the quilt. She is a former board member of the Historical Society.

A special thanks goes to the Society members who contributed to a successful evening.

President, Chugiak-Eagle River Historical Society
