Johnston

Hannah Johnston of Eagle River graduated with a Master of Arts in music, concentration trumpet performance, from University of Alaska Anchorage this spring. She is the daughter of BJ and Colleen Bjornstad.

Anna Rix of Chugiak made the spring semester dean's list at Michigan Tech University in Houghton. Rix is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Colin Singleton of Eagle River made the spring semester dean's list at Michigan Tech University in Houghton. Singleton also graduated from the university with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering at its April 30 commencement ceremonies.

Kelsey Davidson of Eagle River graduated from the University of Vermont in Burlington with a medical degree in medicine within the College of Medicine. She was one of 111 graduates receiving a medical degree from the college this semester.

Rebecca Little of Eagle River, and a 2011 Chugiak High graduate, is one of 2,900 winners nationally, and seven statewide, of the National Merit Scholarships hosted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. She received a National Merit Arizona State University scholarship. Little plans to major in engineering.
