Vandals hit Ravenwood
Anchorage Police responded to a vandalism at Ravenwood Elementary school at about 10 p.m., Saturday, June 11. Officers found that unknown persons had vandalized an outdoor sprinkler head that activated a fire alarm. Witnesses reported seeing two people fleeing the scene, but those witnesses left before officers could get their contact information. Anyone with information as to the identity of the vandals or were a witness to this vandalism should call School Resource Officer Shackelford at 742-3219 or submit an e-mail tip to email@example.com.
Hiland mailboxes worked over
Early morning vandals damaged several dozen mailboxes in the area of Hiland Road Thursday, June 16. Anchorage police responded to calls just after 4 a.m. Officers found several cluster style mailboxes apparently ripped open from the back with a pry bar, the boxes emptied and mail strewn about. An investigation continues.
