Football camping time
Both Chugiak and Eagle River's football programs are planning to host camps next week.
The Wolves' camp will begin July 26 and run through July 29. The camp is open to any student entering grades nine through 12 and costs $40. Campers should bring football cleats and clothes to practice in. The camp runs between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day and will be held at the school, which is located on Yosemite Drive off of Hiland Road in Eagle River.
Chugiak's camp starts July 25 and goes through the 28th. The camp includes two sessions a morning speed camp and afternoon football camp each day. Cost is $100 for Chugiak players, $135 for others, and is open to students entering grades nine through 12.
The speed camp will run from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. each day. All age groups are welcome to participate in this portion of the camp, which is $50 for the four-day program at the school, which is located just off the South Birchwood exit on the Glenn Highway.
