FOCUS on fun
FOCUS, Inc, held its Fourth annual Fun For All event at Eagle River Lions Park Aug. 4 in Eagle River. FOCUS is a non-profit agency serving approximately 250 local infants, children, and adults with special needs. The Fun For All is a free carnival to celebrate the last day of the organization's summer program, a day camp for children and young adults. The event featured an inflatable slide, dunk tank, cakewalk, pudding eating contest, 'fair hair,' face painting, cotton candy and more. As in past years, the Fun For All was open to the public and more than 100 people took advantage of the brief sunshine in an otherwise rainy week to participate in the activities. FOCUS sponsors include Matanuska Telephone Association, Fred Meyer, and First National Bank of Alaska, who support the group's mission to "Provide quality support to individuals and families by respecting their values and sharing their hopes."
